加拿大住屋的類型分別有House(單棟房子)、Townhouse(鎮屋 / 排屋)和Apartment / Condo(公寓)。
House (單棟房子)
單棟房子是在一塊地皮築起的房子，周邊沒有連接其他建築物，地皮和房屋的業權都是業主的。通常是地面起兩至三層高，內有Basement(地下室)，車房最少有一個車位。
Townhouse (鎮屋 / 排屋)
最少有三間住宅緊密連在一起，兩至三層樓高，每個住宅有獨立的出入口，有各自的後園和車房。
Apartment / Condo (公寓)
公寓是多層式大廈，Apartment是整棟屬於同一業主，Condo則可單獨出售自用或買下來再轉租。有些公寓內有游泳池，健身室或其他娛樂設施。業主每月需支付管理費，有些公寓的管理費也包含了水、電、煤氣的費用。繳交管理費後，一般公寓內的設施便可隨意使用，無須再繳付額外費用。

In Canada, people live in houses, townhouses and apartments / condos.
House – A single house is a house that the surrounding area does not connect to other buildings. It is usually two to three stories high with a basement and at least one parking space in the garage.
Townhouse – A townhouse is a house that has at least three houses closely connected, usually being two to three stories high. Each house has its entrance and exit, with its back yard garden, and garage.
Apartment / Condo – Apartments are usually found in multi-story buildings. The Apartments belong to the same owner, usually the owner of the building. The Condos can be sold separately or bought and sub-leased. Some Condos have swimming pools, fitness rooms, or other recreational facilities. Owners need to pay a monthly management fee, whereas some management fees also include utilities, such as: water, electricity, and gas. After settling the management fee, the facilities can be used at your convenience, without other additional fees.
